The dietary fiber determination is carried out on foods intended
for human nourishment.
AOAC (Official Methods of Analysis) proposes enzymatic method 985.29
for determining dietary fiber by way of digestion with thermostable
enzymes in foods and animal feeds.
The GDE and CSF6 units in conformity with this method.
Dietary Fiber - GDE unit
The analytical procedure for the determination of the dietary fiber
requires the digestion of the sample with thermostable enzyme, that
reproduce better than chemical methods the natural phenomena
occuring during digestion in man and animals.
The GDE unit was developed to operates according to the official
method AOAC n.o. 985.29 for the determination of the total dietary
fiber.
GDE optimizes the delicate phase of the enzymatic digestions of the
sample, working in reproducible and standardized conditions in order
to obtain final reliable results.
The elevated performances are guaranteed thanks to a multiple
magnetic stirrer that assures a continuous and constant sample
mixing avoiding the sample overheating
at the same time.
Dietary Fiber - CSF 6 unit The
CSF6 unit allows the final filtration and washing phase envisaged by
the enzymatic method to be rationalized in dietary fiber
determination.
CSF6 used together with GDE fiber extractor, operates according to
the official method AOAC n.o. 985.29 for the determination of the
total dietary fiber, with considerable reduction of the time
required compared to a manual procedure.
The glass funnels facilitates the introduction of the digested
sample and the solvents in the instrument.
Besides the possibility to work with vacuum permits to speed up the
filtering and the final washings.
