Description
This temperature probe connects inline with a ModBlock digester system with a toggle switch that allows the desired temperature to be set either to the block or sample. An attached probe is placed inside a sample tube to measure sample temperature and the ModBlock will heat until the sample reaches the set temperature.
Why should an inline temperature probe be used?
There will be a discrepancy between the set temperature on the controller and the actual temperature reading of a sample without the use of an inline temperature probe. Generally, the temperature set on the controller is 10-15 degrees higher than the desired sample temperature during digestion. Example: To achieve 95 deg. C sample digestion temperature, set the controller to heat to 105 or 110 deg. C. The inline temperature probe simplifies reaching a specific sample temperature during digestion by allowing the controller to read sample temperature and heat accordingly.
