Qualitative STEC Set Dairy Matrix

Description

A three sample set for qualitative identification of STEC. Set is designed to mimic typical FDA BAM and USDA MLG sample handling procedures. The PT set will contain one of the following: O26, O45, O103, O111, O121 or O145. The PT set can be used to report Total STEC or the specific serotype. Each set contain 3 x 25 grams sterile matrix (beef powder and skim milk powder) and three individually packaged lyophilized microorganism pellets. At least one of the three samples will be positive for STEC. To use, transfer on 25 gram sterile matrix to a stomacher bag, add 225 mL of your in-house enrichment broth and then add a single sample pellet to the stomacher bag. Process and analyze according to your normal laboratory procedures. Report present or absent for each sample set. Three different series available per study.
