Description
OptiMist ION® micro-nebulizer for ICP-MS. The OptiMist ION's® patented design eliminates the risk of clogging that is common to concentric style nebulizers. The OptiMist ION® is the most “uncloggable” ICP-MS nebulizer on the market today and is unlike any other you may have previously used on your ICP-MS.
This nebulizer has a robust non-concentric design; gas and sample channels are separated throughout the entire body of the nebulizer. The large internal diameter of the sample channel (approx. 0.75mm) provides resistance to clogging and the ability to tolerate tough matrices. Efficient aerosol generation at a small sample uptake rate is accomplished by employing an impact surface within proximity to the gas orifice at an optimized angle. Test results show that the sensitivity and precision of the this nebulizer are comparable to the sensitivity and precision of commonly used concentric nebulizers.*
