Description
OptiMist® nebulizer for ICP-OES is the original nebulizer and namesake from the OptiMist series. It is specifically designed to externally aspirate samples having undissolved particles or extremely high total dissolved solids. It is an excellent choice for the high volume / low margin laboratory looking for the best value-to-performance ratio. OptiMist is particularly well suited for laboratories analyzing used oil, agronomy soil, and plant tissue samples.
The non-concentric Improved Dual Channel (IDC) patented design separates the gas and sample channels throughout the body of the nebulizer, allowing easy removal of blockages should they occur. The aerosol is aspirated externally at the nebulizer's orifice which significantly minimizes the potential for salt build-up.
OptiMist® nebulizer can be used in place of traditional Babington, V-Groove, cross-flow and GemCone™ nebulizers. It is interchangeable with concentric type nebulizers and their associated spray chambers.
Additional Information
Available in glass (borosilicate) or Quartz options. Glass is typically used unless there is a specific application requirement that calls for Quartz, such as measuring Boron.
All OptiMist® nebulizers are supplied with the necessary fittings for specific ICP models. Please select the ICP manufacturer that the nebulizer is intended to be used on to ensure correct fittings are supplied.
