Cannabinoids

Measure the cannabinoid potency of common cannabinoids like CBD, THC, and CBG with our high-quality cannabinoid testing standards. Identify purity and concentration for your strain while supplying potency data that gauges the medicinal and psychoactive effects of each product.

Residual Solvents

Residual solvents pose risks to consumer health, resulting in strictly regulated thresholds in every jurisdiction. Measure your cannabis products against our diverse collection of standards concentrations to ensure a high-quality product. We carry residual solvent testing standards for cannabis customized for your state.

Pesticides

You’ll recognize pesticides from agricultural applications. Cannabis products are no different. Our selection of cannabis pesticide testing standards will help you verify that your final product adheres to your state standards and is safe for human health.

Mycotoxins

Even tiny amounts of these metabolites can result in major health risks for consumers. We offer an extensive list of mycotoxin analytical cannabis testing standards for in-depth testing to find (or prove the absence of) mycotoxins in your cannabis products.

Terpenes

Commonly known as the influencers of taste and flavor in cannabis, terpenes also alter the psychoactive and therapeutic properties of cannabis products. CPI’s Peak Performance terpenes testing reference standards measure terpenes in your products accurately to ensure you’re delivering the highest quality to consumers.

Heavy Metals

Heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, zinc, lead, and mercury naturally live in soil. They hold elemental impurities that find homes in cannabis plants, resulting in adverse effects on human health. It’s vital to test your products against high-quality heavy metals testing standards for cannabis to deliver high-quality results.

Develop cost-saving methods with custom standards

Many suppliers have limitations on customization. We don’t.

We formulate more custom standards than any other supplier. As long as the chemistry can be done, we’ll make it for you.

So you can develop new methods that:

  • Reduce the cost of science.
  • Generate more profits.
  • Set your business apart.

You can also reduce your custom order lead time by working with CPI vs other manufacturers.

Fewer reworks means less waste (consumables & budget!)

The quality of your reference standards impacts the quantity of rework you do.

Every time your lab runs a test on repeat, your cost per test goes up because you’re wasting valuable consumables.

That’s why CPI reference standards are:

  • Certified
  • Traceable
  • Accountable

In states where cannabis is legal, analytical cannabis testing standards exist to make sure products sold at different stops in the supply chain meet guidelines set out by the law.

Each state is different. If you are a producer in California, your cannabis oil must be tested against California standards. Not Colorado cannabis testing standards or Oregon cannabis testing standards. Only your local standards matter. We have them all here, so you know where to purchase all your standards for cannabis testing.

Want to make your local testing workflow easier, and get a daily stressor off your mind?

Get the right standards here, then subscribe to auto-shipment. It doesn’t cost anything, and we guarantee you get every order of cannabis standards right when you need them.

California

The newly established Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) agency oversees the licensing and regulation of legalized cannabis activity in California. The DCC monitors all commercial cannabis operations, as well as manufacturing and testing processes, including setting threshold limits within cannabis products.

We carry specific analytical cannabis reference standards for California, so you can be sure your cannabis products meet the guidelines set out in your contracts and state laws. Find your standards below:

Colorado

The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) requires residual solvent testing and cannabis potency determination by licensed laboratories using American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC) methods, as well as other internally verified methods.

Your contracts may also outline limits for heavy metals, or you may have to perform cannabinoid profiling and provide that verified data to your clients. The cannabis reference materials for those purposes, as well as other analytical cannabis reference standards customized for Colorado, can be found below:

Maryland

Cannabis is legal specifically for medical use under the guidance of the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) and the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA). Both commissions work together to regulate the pesticides and solvents that can be used in cannabis production and the action limits for residues that can remain in cannabis products used by patients.

To adhere to your contracts, plus the state laws for pesticide and residual solvents thresholds, as well as the recently expanded threshold for heavy metals in medical cannabis, we carry specific analytical cannabis reference standards for Maryland. These reference standards for cannabis testing can be found below:

Massachusetts

Though the state of Massachusetts does not have official rules for testing cannabis products, the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) has limited residual solvents and metals, and has laid out analysis requirements for residual pesticides in finished cannabis products.

To make sure your products adhere precisely to those limits, use the aanalytical cannabis reference standards below. The solvent and pesticide testing standards are created just for Massachusetts, so you can test with a high degree of confidence. The other reference materials, like cannabinoid testing standards or terpene testing standards, provide objective, certified measures for cannabis products, and all standards come with a Certificate of Analysis.

Oregon

The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) regulates which pesticides can be used in cultivation, tested by laboratories under the guidance of the Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ORELAP).

The threshold limits for cannabis products vary based on cannabis product type. To adhere to threshold limits for the State of Oregon, you can find your residual solvent reference materials and pesticide testing standards for cannabis, along with cannabinoid testing standards and more below, all of which arrive with a certificate of analysis, so you get exactly what you need:

Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is responsible for licensing, regulating, and administering cannabis products under the authority of the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

To meet the guidelines for the recently lowered threshold for pesticides in Oklahoma, we’ve made a range of custom pesticide testing standards for labs in the cannabis testing business, along with residual solvent reference materials for cannabis, specialized for residual solvent thresholds in Oklahoma. These analytical reference standards are available below:

Arizona

In 2021, recreational sales of cannabis began in Arizona, with taxes and licensing projected to earn the state at least $160 million in the first year and up to 160 dispensaries expected to open by the end of 2022. The state is keeping tight controls on regulations via the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).

Cultivators and manufacturers who perform testing need custom analytical cannabis reference standards formulated for Arizona’s regulations, and residual solvent reference materials specialized for Arizona’s thresholds. You can find those below. We also have cannabinoid standards, so you can perform cannabinoid profiling required by the State of Arizona:

Canada

Health Canada regulates cannabis use, consumption, and testing under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) Act, requiring all testing to be done under validated methods, including but not limited to residual solvent testing.

Since Health Canada limits pesticide active ingredients in fresh cannabis, dried cannabis, and cannabis products, we carry pesticide testing standards for cannabis, specialized for Canadian thresholds, so you can be sure your products are safe for consumption and legal. You can also verify other important quantities using our Peak Performance line of heavy metals reference standards, verified and shipped with Certificates of Analysis.
