Membrane Filters

CPI offers a line of high quality membrane filters which are available in a variety of diameters and pore sizes. Membranes are made of either a Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) material or PTFE.

MCE is a biologically inert mixture of cellulose acetate (CA) and cellulose nitrate (CN), resulting in membranes with a smoother and more uniform surface than pure nitrocellulose. MCE is easy to handle and is less prone to cracking or fracturing than traditional CN membranes. No smoothing treatment or surfactants are added to these membranes.
