Residual Solvents

Residual solvents are common in the cannabis industry. They are the chemicals that remain in cannabis after cannabinoids and terpenes have been extracted from the plant to make products like wax or concentrated oils. Since each extraction process is unique, they yield different results based on factors like pressure, temperature, the profile of the solvent itself, and soak time.

To ensure that all residual solvents effectively are not present in finished cannabis products, we carry a collection of certified residual solvent testing standards for use with GC-MS testing methods. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is shipped with every analytical cannabis reference standard.
